If you'll be up in SF for pride, check out this event put on by the ACLU of Northern California. There will be not only mimosas but politically active folks there too! *wink wink*
Are You Card-Carrying and Proud? Join us at San Francisco Pride 2011
We're having a breakfast party before we march in the San Francisco Pride Parade and you’re invited to join us for both. (Yes, there will be mimosas.)
SF Pride Breakfast Party
9-10:30 am, then we march
ACLU office: 39 Drumm St, San Francisco, CA
Meet at our office to march with us in one of the biggest & best Pride Parades
The ACLU has been fighting for LGBT rights for most of our organization’s history. We defended gay bars in San Francisco during police raids in the 1950s. We stopped an attempt to quarantine people with AIDS in the 80s. We sued after Prop 8 passed. Last year we fought to let Constance McMillen take her girlfriend to prom.
Today, we're working to bring full LGBT equality in every community, and we’re making progress. Just last week the California Assembly passed Seth’s Law, which would give schools the tools to stop bullying.
In honor of our ongoing struggles, and celebration of our victories, we hope you’ll join us in one of the country’s largest celebrations of LGBT Equality: San Francisco Pride.
Meet at the ACLU of Northern California office at 39 Drumm St. for breakfast and mimosas between 9-10:30 am on Sunday, June 26. We’ll leave at 10:30 am to head to our spot in the Parade. It’s going to be fabulous, we promise.
