Friday Nov. 11th,Lez at the Mezz and Booby Trap join forces to feature a post show party/conversation by Sibyl O'Malley for Virginia Grise's play 'blu', followed by local dancers 'Lost Angels' performing sick moves inspired by both the play and a love for Los Angeles.

'Blu' is set in Barrio, USA, Virginia Grise’s blu traces the explosive after-effects of prison and hunger, desire and war. Told in a heightened poetic language of street talk, the play follows a queer Chicana/o family as they try to envision an earth and sky without police and their helicopters. … blu is a tattooed offering to Los Angeles audiences, the gods and the ancestors that might be listening. Take Back the Talk Back: Let's get rid of the business-as-usual-boring-ass talk back and create something worthy of Virginia Grise’s tough, beautiful play, blu.
